whoa, thats awesome man... I love your camera movements... combining with the animation of the types its really good. And you use particular at the ending right?
  • Jordan Clarke 2 years ago
thanks man, actually i didn't use any plug-ins for this video, just pre-comping and nesting
  •

YOU USE After Effects very well!!
    I'm learning....
can you give me some ideas where find some
tutorial or stuff to learn better ??
    Have a good day !

what are your fav ae tutorial sites?
  •
  • Hillel Dov 2 years ago
The pace seems too fast but the colorful, explosive conclusion matches the hype of the speed. And rockwell continues to rule.
  •
  • Jeff Dougherty plus 2 years ago
The music makes it even better.

As for tutorials, there are two websites that I look at all the time.

IMO, videocopilot.net is the best site for AE. There are tons of really nice tutorials, inclduing a bunch of free presets.

Creativecow.net also has some helpful tutorials, but not only for after effects.

Damn man. This is amazing. One of these times it would be awesome to see the inner workings of one of these. I would learn so much from the actual af file.

    Great work

Yeah dude that was tight! It would have been great without sound but your audio selection amped it way up. Good choice. Keep it up. Check out my vid and tell me what you think. Oh yeah. check it out on my youtube page. brown1983. It seems to play a bit choppy on vimeo. Maybe thats just my computer. :0)

Loved the explosion at the end. Rockwell is a great font, but you can't beat Helvetica =)

So did you just use Particle World at the end instead of using Particular?
  • Jordan Clarke 2 years ago
thanks man, heveltica's always done, i wanted to play with the slab serifs in rockwell. I built the particles by pre-comping, way more control and it doesn't just look like another plug-in that everyone uses(not a fan of plug-ins that everyone uses and u can tell right away which one it is) they recommend not using particular at our school. you can do so much using expressions and pre-comping
  • Andy Wood 2 years ago
Very cool. It does look a lot better than any of the plug-ins I've seen now since I've gone back and looked at it. I've always wanted to learn more about expressions, but I haven't been able to find any good material on it :P

I love it! How'd you do the camera moves? I've just been learning AE and the camera I just can't get smooth enough. I'm guessing it's parented to that circle.
  •
  • Jesse plus 2 years ago
because of this video i now only type in rockwell.

The lighting is tight! Love it! Also love how the camera and that eccentric little dot worked so well together!

Your reveal at the end is great, brings unity to the piece.

Must have been frustrating w/ all that camera work, but you created a great 'smooth-jitter', almost rushed aesthetic that compliments the 'explosions' - in the reveal at the end, as well as out of the bottom of one o the characters.

    Nice work.

    Hello,

first of all congratulations for your video, really nice!!

i wanted to ask you if you could help me. i am in my final year of Graphic Design and i am doing my final major project on Kinetic Typography, due to there are not too many studies about it, as you know. I have prepared an interview about this area of Motion Graphics, and seen your work i am really interested about your points of view and about how you see the development of this type in motion.

The interview wont take you long, and i would do it via email. so please if you can dedicate some of your time let me know in

    ursula.morollon@gmail.com

and i will send you the questions.

thank you!!! and i hope i hear about you soon!
