Chris Stubbs is the organiser and instigator of the annual Shark Bait Swim in Huskisson, Jervis Bay. This year Chris agreed to participate in the ABC Open 110% project that focuses on telling the stories of people who love their sport.
In this film Chris is swimming with a wearable camera. I decided to use just one of the many shots he took while swimming to emphasise the repetitive nature of the exercise. The rhythmic flow of swimming and the sounds of water create a sense of action for the viewer.
As Chris describes his presence of mind the viewer becomes drawn into the location, it’s almost like being there.
