In this video press release, Assemblyman Troy Singleton (D-Burlington) discusses the Assembly Democratic plan for a 20 percent middle-class property tax relief credit and a 25 percent senior citizen property tax relief credit.
The plan would help 95 percent of New Jersey homeowners and provide a maximum property tax relief credit of $2,000, with the average family slated to receive $1,552.
The average senior or disabled homeowner would receive $1,939.
Tenants also would see their relief increase.
The plan would provide relief against property taxes that have soared a net 20 percent under Gov. Christie.
