The Moore County Board of Commissioners met on April 3, 2012, at 5:00 PM in the 2nd Floor Boardroom of the Old Courthouse in Carthage, NC. The meeting began with a public comments session, most of which was used by those who spoke about the proposed resolution on Amendment 1 to the NC Constitution which will be on the NC primary ballots on May 8.
Bob Levy was one such speaker. The resolution by the Board, which was simply to encourage voters to vote their conscience on May 8, passed unanimously.
The Board then handled a number of employee recognitions, heard from a number of charitable organizations, and handled old business, including its consent agenda.
Finally, there was a good discussion about the tentative agreement, or partnership, with the Town of Robbins on water sources for Moore County and Robbins.
