It has been just over 2 years since I decided to really give unicycling a go and now I’m obsessed. I’d tried a few times over the years and not gotten anywhere, too hard I had decided, until one night I had a chat with a professional unicyclist. I asked him what the trick to unicycling was, his answer was, “no trick just a bit of persistence, do at least 30 min a day for 10 days and see what happens”. The rest is history, after about 5 days I could ride across my back yard and in 10 I was riding around the block, the uni bug had bitten me and I was hooked! Within a few weeks I was riding up and down gutters and hills , I just couldn’t get enough. The feelings and the challenges this crazy sport was throwing at me were incredible. As soon as I mastered one obstacle there was another, and another and another. Mountain bike trails, skate park ramps, stairs, jumps, backwards, drops, steeper bumpier hills, the challenges just keep coming & I feel fitter and younger than I have in years.
