The colors God created for this wedding can’t compare to anything we have ever filmed. Hands down. I don’t think you could beat having a wedding on the top of a mountain, in fall peak season. Add to that a group of families and their friends that celebrated together and invited us along to share in the excitement. Matt & Jewel really were the “perfect couple”, as stated by Matt’s brother in the toast. As down to Earth as you get. They produced an amazing wedding with the help of Crest Mountain Resort, South Forest Flowers, and some fine entertainment by the band Common Saints. Jason Jones of Elegant Event Entertainment in Los Angeles, MC’d the reception and sang all night with the band. They rocked and entertained all night! The poem being read at the beginning of the highlights video was written by a great-grandmother of the family, and was read by Jewel’s mother during the ceremony. One of the reason’s this was such a fun wedding to film was the music. Friends of Matt & Jewel, Taylor, Mark and David were insanely talented at the guitar & fiddle,(a rich mountain heritage) with the help of Matt’s brother Brian on the bongos. Want to really be entertained?! We posted a video of the trio during the reception a few months ago illustrating an impromptu “jam session” that will get you tapping your feet. Along with the music and food, the lights, table centerpieces and fall decor really made this reception incredible. I think we did quite a bit of dancing ourselves. Thanks Matt & Jewel, for trusting us to preserve your wedding celebration. We hope you and your loved ones enjoy this highlights film and get taken back to that day every time you watch it. P.S. And Jewel might get mad at me for shining light on this very hilarious moment during the vows, but she accidentally said ” I will listen to you with PASSION and understanding” instead of “I will listen to you with COMPASSION and understanding”. Now you can laugh along with them during the highlights video. It was a great moment.
