Raw video of some of the interference and abuse endured by participants in the Winnemem Wintu tribe's Coming of Age Ceremony in 2006 and 2010. The ceremony is held on the tribe's traditional dance grounds next to the McCloud River, in California. The US Forest Service has refused to apply a mandatory closure of 300 yards of the river where it meets Shasta Lake reservoir. Instead, they will only institute a voluntary closure, which merely ensures that the most abusive and disrespectful boaters are the ones who come through to disrupt the ceremony and harass the participants.
