This is a prototype for a larger public sculpture. Placing consecutive images on a standard text flip-sign results in a cinematic sequence, like a flip-book, when a flap unit is triggered. For this prototype, a motion detector in the room causes the three images to perform a sequence of events, interacting with each other. (To view this, download the video.)
For a larger public project, there might be many flap units, interacting in different permutations through a random or programmed sequence. There could be a large variety of possible cinematic images and events as well as possible interactions among the images.
