Flying around San Francisco
On a recent beautiful day in San Francisco, the pilot of a Virgin America flight I was on decided to take us on a nice low & slow flight around San Francisco.
The path begins on the eastern side of the city, past Hunter's Point, the Dogpatch, China Basin, South Beach, the Embarcadero, the Bay Bridge, the Marina, Alcatraz, across the Golden Gate Bridge, Seacliff, the Cliff House, Ocean Beach and onwards to the south. You can clearly see downtown San Francisco as well as most of her hills and neighborhoods.
Thanks to Telstar Logistics for the ground control audio.

Dave Bryan 8 months agoWhat an awesome treat! Wonder if the pilot did it just for fun or was there an air traffic control reason? Lucky you being in the port window seat!
