Krista has been "on the verge" of talking for a while now. Over the last few months we can tell that she's trying to express herself because she'll look at us so intently, point and gesture excitedly, and try to say something, but it's just a bunch of babble. In the last couple days, however she came out with her second word. The first one was Mama, the second one... nope, not Dada, but Dowa (as in Dora the Explorer). In the words of the old Verizon commercial, "Dad got hosed!"
