    I use the same crappy tripod and used some newspapers on the bottom hehe.. I was trying to do a good dolly shot. You can see that there is a nudge when I changed direction. Hope it's fairly convincing.

    Not too convincing...but still looks good. I could see this effect used for a commercial..using diamond necklaces or something

    Wow! Pretty neat, I didn't realise at first, but you're not actually pulling focus are you? The DoF is so shallow that a little dolly movement causes focal point to change from one object to the next quite instantly. Or am I wrong?

    Yup, it's all dolly movement. I did not pull focus; the focus of the lens is fixed.
