A guide to the operation, construction and maintenance of the Bekonscot Model Railway from the 1990s. Not much has changed – the railway is a bit larger now and we’ve more trains. But the principles remain the same. You’ll see how we clean the tracks, run the stock – and see a driver’s eye view of part of the circuit. Some colour fading on this (sorry!) but we’re working to restore the tape properly. More info at bekonscot.co.uk
Bekonscot is the world's oldest true model village - having opened in 1929 in Beaconsfield, England. We're still here now, having probably more fun than we should whilst at work. It's a super place to come with the family - we're only a few miles outside London and near the M25 and M40 motorways. Come over, see our model trains, castles and towns - and have a nice cup of tea.
Part of the Bekonscot Model Village Archive Collection. Please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org for full details or if you have film footage that you'd like to share with us. Tally-ho.
