My buddy Kellen and I had talked about splitboard touring before work for months. And with two feet of fresh blower and a perfect window between storms in mid-March 2012, we decided to go for it.
Leaving Seattle at 4:30 a.m. for a familiar spot north of the Summit at Snoqualmie, we hit weather and avalanche conditions (mostly) just right for some epic turns. In the rush to make it back for work by 9:00 a.m., footage was sparse. But it's safe to say that the dawn patrol was a total success.

The backcountry is dangerous, know before you go.
