It's frustrating to discover that the majority of digital versions of magazines are represented simply by its PDF files.
All the gorgeous pictures of products are stuck in static. It's understandable when it's printed on paper.
But absolutely non sense for digital. I expect the content to correspond to the physics of space.
I want to see some moving pictures, incorporated videos AT LEAST. I want interactivity.
I am sure that every designer was tempted to animate some parts of layout while making it.
Personally I fall in love with good looking headlines, products, fashion shoot stills...
If we put all that to digital space just as it is, it all 'dies'.
So why don't we start using features that digital space provides? Especially right now, when tablets are officially part of our lifestyle.
This animation is just a little teaser for InStyle's jewelry section. My first little step.
And the paper version, if you are interested (cargocollective.com/belkina/Jewelry-Section-Editorial).
