Most of this was shot using the 24p mode. A few shots like the chameleon were taken with one of the florescent light white balance. Other than that Auto for the most part. I do have a UV filter on it, and did tweak some of the colours in final cut express. But nothing major.

Thanks for the footage. Quick question: I believe you used the manual focus with the new control dial at 0:23 since it's pretty smooth. Given that internal mic is right next to it, does it pick up any noise from rotatng the dial?
Your right I did do some manual focusing. But it was done with the joystick on the viewfinder, and the joystick is pretty smooth, the mic doesn't pick that up. There is that custom dial by the front of the camcorder, but I don't have it assigned to focus. I will try that though and post some sample footage with audio to see what it picks up.
Great great video. One quick question. You had a quick shot around 5:47 where you are tracking a bird walking on a fence. Did you do that handheld or were you using a monopod or similar device?
Jon, how have you got your footage so smooth in 24p mode? I've just bought myself a HFS100, and I can only choose between 50i or PF25. In the PF25 mode, everything is so jittery & bitty when trying to film anything. Any advice?
Steven Sparrow, you probably have the european version and as far as I know it only has 25p not 24p. You need to be very careful with handheld motion when using this mode or you will get jitter!

Any special settings on the cam?

Most of the video was taken using a monopod. However that bird was taken just by hand, with image stabilization turned on.
