Katie-Spencer SDE APRIL 6, 2009
The 2009 wedding season has begun! We are in the midst of exciting times- a new standard has been set for this entire year, and all the awesome couples we’ll be filming are on the forefront. We’re going to push the limits, try new things, and create the best wedding films we possibly can. Katie and Spencer’s wedding is the first of many to experience our Same Day Edit, including future SDEs from weddings in Seattle and Milwaukee :) They were a blast to film, and they had a beautiful wedding. For the record, Same Day Edits get the heart pumping a bit- not just for us, but for the couple and guests as well. On top of all the awesomeness, I was privileged enough to work alongside some amazing vendors! Thanks to everyone who made this possible. Also, on a little side note- this was the first SDE not edited by me, but instead, by the infamous MISTER Charles Phillips, who will be at all the weddings this year…Enjoy!!!
-Lot of firsts at this wedding. First time using the slider, steadicam pilot, HMC150, letus adapter, 24p.....
-Had a great time, and everyone went crazy at the end!
-Tried to be totally different at this wedding, and naturally, it was quite the challenge.

I actually had two people helping up through the ceremony and then one other person helping me the rest of the day. This was around my 15th Same Day Edit so I'm kind of used to the crazyness... This was actually the first SDE that I did not edit. We just capture and edit all day and then usually I keep shooting. At the end of the night I render the video out and burn a DVD.
I bet you didn't use Magic Bullet, that would take forever to render. Actually how much time did you spend on capturing and rendering+burning?
