PATERSON, NJ: The Paterson Habitat for Humanity celebrate their 27th Annual Dinner by saluting volunteers, sponsor, and homeowner families who help make Habitat for Humanity what it is today! The ceremonial annual dinner consist of honoring those individuals who made extraordinary contributions to Paterson’s Habitat Mission, which eliminates poverty housing. However, the highlight of the evening is the ‘burning’ of four Habitat Mortgages. The ‘burning mortgages’ is a ritual that ceremoniously honors four hard-working families who paid off their 0% interest rate for Paterson Habitat Mortgages in just 20 years. In today’s economy with default mortgages and underwater homes values; this is a rare success story!

In saluting those honorable sponsors of Paterson Habitat for Humanity, recognition goes to Raymond Hallock, recently retired president and Chief Executive Officer of Columbia Bank; who received the Millard Fuller Award. Nancy DeVries, graphic designer, and Oakland resident; received the Dr. John Rosengren Award. Jennifer Woschinko a resident of Little Falls, a special education teacher in the Montclair Schools system; received The Individual Partner Award. Recognition also includes to organizational honorees like, Oldcastle Inc., an Atlanta Headquartered National Building Supplies Company was honored with the Corporate Partner Award.

To conclude, lead corporate sponsors of the 27th Annual Dinner event were Oldcastle Inc., QBE America, Columbia Bank, and Kuiken Brothers.
