Mendoza, Argentina is in western Argentina right next to the Andes mountain range. The land is very fertile and perfect for growing grapes. Everywhere you go outside of the city you see grape vines growing. In the towns outside of the city there are hundreds of wineries that produce some of the best wine in South America. While in Mendoza we went to 2 wineries and enjoyed some very good Malbec. The Salesian sisters Mary Help of Christians gave us a small house to stay in for the week and fed us aplenty. They helped set up interviews for us, and gave us the contact of other Salesian sisters in Santiago, Chile to stay with as well. Thank you to the sisters there for their wonderful welcome and help all week.
