For Tuesday, April 17, we look at Japan's Toshiba Tec Corp.'s $850 million deal for a unit of IBM Corp. that supplies cash registers to retailers. IBM looked to Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP for legal counsel in this transaction. As a result of the deal, Toshiba will reportedly push the IBM business, along with a few other companies, into a holding company in which it will hold an 80.1% stake; IBM will start off with a 19.9 percent stake.
