During our 4-week series called The Essential James we opened up the sermon each week with a 30-sec spot to set the tone for the message. This week Pastor Steven Furtick preached on temptation from James 1:13-18.

    Hey guys I love your stuff. I watch your series all the time. You all have some great openers. If you got some time I would love to know the programs you use. I have created some things using AE. One is uploaded on our Radius Vimeo page. Im planting a church next year and so I wanna get some more knowledge of making videos before we start and then hopefully pass it off to my own creative team someday.

    Yes we used a Letus 35mm adapter with Nikon lenses for this shoot.

    I'd love to know the technical also. What does the "studio" look like and what gear are you using for getting the limited DOF?

    Our "studio" is very small probably 14x20 feet and any lighting is stand-alone fresnels/etc. We shot this piece in the same environment as the 'with everything support video' also on our vimeo page. On that video we used a completely different lighting setup however.

    As far as gear we used the sony ex-1 with letus 35mm adapter and a macro 1.2 nikon lens, we shot 720p 24p.
