Synopsis: He opened for bands like Nirvana and Soundgarden and was honored as the forerunner of Grunge. This film explores one of Seattle’s most celebrated voices, Steven J. Bernstein (aka Jesse Bernstein). His angry, fresh, lyrical writings are about sensitive souls, drifters and drug addicts; people alienated by a society that refuses to understand them. Mixed with interviews from friends, family and colleagues, and striking footage from Seattle’s darker side, this film sheds light on the underrated poet and artist.
