This film was shot on a hill outside Thorverton in Devon and is part of a project called 'bury your love like treasure' currently being developed by Composer Paul Whitty in collaboration with Exeter Contemporary Sounds and Artist Shirley Pegna from the Sonic Art Research Unit (SARU).

This film shows part of the process of experimenting with geophones, transducers and a double bass. Emma Welton carries her bass up the hill and Shirley Pegna amplifies the sounds being picked up by a geophone through the instrument using two transducers. Some of the sound on the film was recorded during a workshop with Paul Whitty and ECS at the Phoenix in Exeter... oh, and Emma also digs a hole and buries her violin...
