Shorty George is a traditional Lindy Hop piece as you might have seen in the 1930s or 1940s. Lindy Hop is the original swing dance from that time period, which grew out of Harlem and the Savoy Ballroom in New York City.
Choreographer/Director: Hallie Kuperman, and members of Swing This!, Century Ballroom’s original swing dance performance troupe
Music: Shorty George by Count Basie
Shorty George Dancers: La’Twon Allen, Amy Best, Joe Grayson, Paul Hemel, Alex Jackson, Verity Swaney, Ahmen Taplin and Ben Wells
