Today pesticides are sprayed on plants and that includes many fruits and vegetables that we eat. The federal agency, the Environmental Protection Agency, oversees the registration and use of these pesticides and directs policies that affect those who use those chemicals. This video examines the EPA's role in regulation and what we should know about pesticide use on our foods. This public service video hopes to inform people about the federal government's role in how we use pesticides so that we can be more careful in the future.
