About Jeanette Langert
Jeanette has been acknowledged as one of Sweden’s most interesting choreographers today, and media praise her for her wilful and architecturally strong choreographic dance works. Jeanette Langert develops the art of dancing above all through refusing to compromise. She has developed a minimalistic style of her own, which affects and amazes her contemporaries. Her choreographies include the critically praised dance works fuktig (2011), Julie3- a commissioned dance work for the Ballet of Göteborgsoperan (2010), Inuti (2009), Fröken (2008) and MERA MERA (2006). In all her productions, Jeanette has cooperated with the internationally acclaimed sceongrapher and costume designer Bente Lykke Møller. The common thread in her own works has been to explore the individual person as part of a greater whole and the greater whole within the individual person. Jeanette Langert was educated at the Institute of Choreography at Danshögskolan (University of Dance and Circus) Stockholm 2003-2006, and at Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts, Mime program 1986-1989.
