4. The Painted Hills
The other worldly Painted Hills in eastern Oregon. I have never seen another place like this before. The colors are unbelievable. I hope you enjoy this because it was a long drive :-)

The The Painted Hills are part of the John Day Fossil Beds which has three sites. There is a map on this site that gives you a good idea of where it is at nps.gov/joda/planyourvisit/directions.htm

pure, abstract and universal. It's a good way to present this landscape I think.

What a place! Maybe still photography would work better for this subject? I saw number of possible still shots, everything is so graphic there. Wonderful landscape indeed.

Yeah thats was what I was thinking when I got there. Not a lot of movement to film.

For most of the video, I thought it WAS still photography... I didn't really notice it was video until the "taco meat" rack focus. lol...

such a nice place, i really like the colors, did you made some color correction in post or you leaved all the footage clear?
need to see that place for a commercial!

I do not think I did any color grading for this video. The hills are actually that color.

wow!! Absolutely breathtaking!! It looks like a chunk of Jupiter crashed on our planet. I didn't even know such a place existed!! and in America no doubt?? wonderful! You're really great at capturing images... and you seem to have one hell of a camera! Anyway, @ 0:50 it looked like a huge pile of taco meat. hahaha

    Great video!
