Using the ProxyLOD, users are able to make a proxy mesh replacement for one or multiple objects onscreen. The result is a drastic reduction of triangles and draw calls in a standard scene.

Topological Reduction The ProxyLOD generation algorithm removes features that are small enough to not be visible onscreen. This, along with MaterialLOD enables very high triangle reduction ratios.

Shrink Wrapping By ”Shrink wrapping” the object, the ProxyLOD generation algorithm is able to remove interior data, and only keep the visible outside of the object, thereby optimizing the render object even further, without user intervention.
