Women's Mirror

Women's Mirror is an artistic project done by the ALIF photography Club in Fez. It consisted of distributing disposable cameras to women from different ages and social categories, and ask them to describe their lives in pictures.

The outcome of their work was displayed in an exhibition from the 8 th of Mars ( The international Women's day).

Women's Mirror also seeks to empower these and all Moroccan women, by educating them about photography as a medium for personal expression, artistic or otherwise.

The project give them an opportunity to photograph their lives for what is likely to be the first time. By doing so, it will show them, and the audience, that art is a

powerful and universal medium, and that anyone who has a vision about their world can make art to be proud of.

This video shows some moments of the opening day of the exhibition which was followed by a concert of Oud (Housna el Hadi) and guitar (Socorra Camposanto)
