The Young Photographer's Creativity Conference was a day-long event held at the Lighthouse in Poole on 28th March 2012 for Sixth Form students of St Peter's School.
Highly-acclaimed photographers Tom Oldham and Stephen Gill shared invaluable insight into their work; Lisa Pritchard, founder of London-based photography agency LPA gave sound advice on how to become a successful photographer; and a panel of young creatives (photographers and photography consultants) shared their experiences of how they became successful.
Throughout the day, all students were given the opportunity to speak one-to-one with each speaker to ask for advice, receive a portfolio review, or just to simply talk to them.
Alongside this were photography workshops and an exhibition of contemporary student work - which is open for a month to the public.
With such a wealth of knowledge and experience being shared and revelled in, it was always going to be a fantastically-inspiring day!
I hope that this video conveys just how brilliant this conference was, and hopefully inspire more conferences like it to be held all over the country, and the world, for young photographers.
