A short documentary about a 3D video installation by OpenEnded Group (Paul Kaiser, Marc Downie, Shelley Eshkar) in Michigan. Sponsored by The Institute for the Humanities at the University of Michigan (with curator Amanda Krugliak), funded by the Mellon Foundation and the Kidder Commissioning Fellowship in the Arts.
The piece depicted and interpreted the abandoned Packard Plant in Detroit through the use of thousands of photos mapped into a digital model. Sounds recorded at the Plant were also manipulated and designed into an accompanying soundtrack by Rishi Daftuar at the Duderstadt Center at the university.
