On April 20, 2012 roughly 100 8th grade students from Hershey Middle School went to Gettysburg to learn a little history. Throughout the day the students learned about the determination of the 15th Alabama and 20th Maine soldiers; the consequences of Daniel Sickles decision to move his troops forward without orders; and the leadership of General Warren and Colonels Vincent and O'Rourke on Little Round Top. The students enjoyed a beautiful day outside of the classroom walls at one of the greatest outdoor classrooms our nation owns--Gettysburg.
