Environmental degradation – the changes in climate, air, water, land, and biodiversity – and resource scarcity are leading to conflicts and issues on security within nations. Why do threats to the environment threaten human security and why are environmental issues so polarized? What are means of cooperation to prevent conflict and build a more peaceful resolution?
