The campaign launched by the Art Fund and the National Maritime Museum at the end of 2011 to enable the Museum to acquire and permanently display Yinka Shonibare, MBE’s much-loved sculpture has been a success.

This film takes a look at why the National Maritime Museum is the perfect place for the work which is a scaled down replica of HMS Victory, the ship captained by Nelson and talks to the artist about the thoughts behind the work.

The work is permenantly displayed outside the Museum.
