Private equity group Apax Partners commissioned
us to make a series of films for their annual
investors meeting. The films are also being used
as case study marketing tools. The films had to be
engaging for the conference audience and work
as a wider piece of corporate communication.

Apax are a company that understands
the importance of having a strong
brand and clear messaging that works
across all communication platforms.
Film and video are part of the
communication mix, the Apax brand
character, including the visual identity
needed to fit into the films.

We did this in several different ways:

Editorially by closely working with
the client to develop a set of common
themes in the story telling.
We developed a house style based on
the brand identity to structure each of
the films.

We created a series of animated
graphics , developing the existing
print assets.

We commissioned an interconnected
suite of music for all the films that
further helped to bind the films into
one coherent, considered piece of
communication.

Three of the films showcased the
portfolio companies that Apax
Partners had recently acquired, the
fourth profiled the ‘Portfolio Support
Group’, a unit within Apax which
provides hands-on assistance to the
companies that it acquires.
