When You Sleep is a short film by writer/director Ashley McKenzie with cinematography by Stephanie Weber-Biron (J'ai tué ma mère, Les amours imaginaires). The film premiered at TIFF 2012, won Best Emerging Director at the Atlantic Film Festival, and had its European premiere at the Stockholm International Film Festival.

When You Sleep was produced through the National Screen Institute of Canada's Drama Prize program by Nelson MacDonald and Martha Cooley. Ashley and Nelson's first film, Rhonda's Party (2011), was named one of Canada's Top Ten Shorts by TIFF and won the CBC’s Short Film Faceoff. More info at grassfirefilms.ca
