When fashion designer Paul Smith launched his new fabric collection Point in collaboration with Maharam in London, upholsterer Hans Mannerhagen was asked to try it out on a Fritz Hansen Egg chair.
In this interview Mannerhagen tells the tales of his trade and the trials and tribulations of upholstering – a job that is time consuming and very precise.
