See all Show me
This short film is a behind the scenes of Philip Bloom while he was shooting a promo for Zacuto. He kindly invited Londonmark Films to follow him on this day and to produce this film.

It gives a flavour of what is required when shooting with a 35mm adaptor, but also a glimpse into the world of Philip. His special humour is second to none and really made this a day to remember.

A special thank you to Philip, and to Steve at Zacuto. Philip was also helped by Suresh Kara from documovie.co.uk who was AC to Philip.

You can also see Philip's companion piece to this short film from this day here vimeo.com/4071239

Thank you, the truth is that's great because it gives you the video to SD or HD quality with little compression, I have not replaced a HD because there are many blog with this video and the HD is slow when playing from the Web, but Video of the original recording if it is to scan 1440x1080i HDV 25p.

    Hey Mark,

Great behind the scenes. How do you guys go filming in public? Do you just setup and shoot or do you ask permission? I'm heading to LA and Vegas in a few days and would like to make some shorts while I'm there - would love some tips on filming in public.

    Cheers,

    Matthew.

This is cool mark. Great work! You really captured Phil's spirit there. He smiles so much haha :D

I'm considered a 35mm adapter someday, are there ways to minimize the vignetting in the corners? That's the only thing that kinda bugs me about them..
  • Philip Bloom plus 8 months ago
i don't get vignetting with my letus on my ex1/3

It's called a 35mm adaptor but you can put like whatever mm lense on it right? like a 55 or whatever.
  • Philip Bloom plus 5 months ago
35mm applies to the lens type, for 35mm cameras. Not the focal length
