The centre of the screen moves forwards in time to a maximum of five seconds in relation to the volume of the music.

I'll be shooting some new slow moving car footage in a location with more character and less corners to re-make this video. This footage is from the start of the journey into dark country roads for The Half Rabbits' Spooked video. The camera I used at the time wasn't great in low lighting and occasionally focussed on the windscreen rather than the road.

Car lightings create nice light circle.

    This is cool.

I wonder what this would look like stationary with people walking by. Or timelapsed things.

I was just thinking about that last night. The cars at 0:35 going round the roundabout look quite cool rocking backwards and forwards. I think a bunch of different scenarios need to be shot and experimented with different time displacement styles before being montaged to the beat.

I suppose there's a place for both of them depending on the application. This one is beginning to remind me of the alien's point of view from It Came from Outer Space.

It is actually quite nice when focused on the windshield... Although I'm a sucker for out-of-focus lights...

Very inventive use of the sound data. I like how the red car doesn't appear to move much as it must be a constant distance from YOUR car.

Using After Effects, key frames were generated from the audio volume and applied to a Time Displacement effect. The higher the volume, the more the displacement. The effect also relates to a radial grad, from white in the centre to black at the edge (or the other way round). The lighter the grey, the more the displacement.
