I remember seeing the Swedish company of Neonode at MWC2007. Their stand had a baby's cot in the middle, surrounding by a team of Swedish nurses. These nurses were not only gorgeous, they knew their stuff too. It was a clever way of launching their new touch-screen phone, well before the iPhone. In the end, they couldn't compete with Apple, et al and so they have clearly picked the space they know well - touch screen technology. I can imagine this being very useful for PDA screens being used in Africa or South Asia where medical workers are being asked to collect data. Point and touch is far more effective than asking people to write things with a pen.

At MWC 2009, I caught up with Neonode to get an update on what they're doing in Stockholm.
