The Canadian Art Foundation Reel Artists Film Festival is North America's only film festival devoted to documentaries on visual art and artists.
This video details the Free Filmmakers Panel co-presented by the Canadian Art Foundation Reel Artists Film Festival and Point of View magazine, which took place on February 24, 2012. Marc Glassman, Editor of Point of View magazine, engages with filmmakers Roz Owen (Portrait of Resistance: The Art and Activism of Carole Condé & Karl Beveridge), Matthew Akers (Marina Abramović The Artist Is Present) and Larry Weinstein (Solidarity Song: The Hanns Eisler Story, Ravel’s Brain), as they discuss the role of the documentarian in art.
