Since October 10th, a tropical depression and heavy rains have been devastating Central America, delivering more than twice the rain in some areas than Hurricane Mitch did in 1998. More than a million people have been affected in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Mexico as rivers overflow, roads and hospitals flood, and mudslides destroy land and livelihoods. Real time information on the regions affected by the disaster can be found here: reliefweb.int/taxonomy/term/9396
