I purchased Magic Bullet Quick Looks this past weekend. I decided to test using it on the Weird Like Me video I previously posted. After a few minutes I had the idea that I wanted to re-cut the video a little to make it look more like a music video. Since it went live to tape I only have access to the shots that were taken so that is all I had to edit with. Overall I think the Looks did a lot to bring some excitement to the video that was missing and they helped to keep it looking as much like DV and a little more like film in some places.

This video is using 10 of the 100+ Looks plus I stacked a couple of Sony effects on top of them for three shots. I did all my editing in Sony Vegas Pro 8.

Little did I know that it would take 12 hours to do all this once I started cutting. I’m glad I did it but man was I tired when I got finished yesterday.

For some reason the audio & video came out of sync when I uploaded this to Vimeo. It is very noticable in the first interview part but less bothersome after the music starts.

Oh, and that is my son Josh on the drums.
