for a long time i wanted to get around to experimenting with ubercasters feature of having skype calls within your podcast recording enviroment. Having tested it today and taking it further by piping the audio into nicecast which then enabled us to do live audio podcasting as a group and gives us the ability to do dial-in shows about a number of subjects or use this to field questions from remote skype users.

remember that skype is a free download and costs nothing to call another skype user - also now you can get skype for the iphone this makes it ideal for taking calls from a location and mashing this up to make a very interactive hands on interactive news coverage tool with a central location to listen to it all too.

Combine this with the video, chat and aggregation tools we are building over on rezpondr and you can see why this is gonna be a cool little mashup.
