On March 8th Flashpoint hosted a Broncolor showcase at the The Warehouse Studio. The focus of the evening was a photo shoot led by Vancouver based photographer, Brendan Meadows who worked with our new inventory of Broncolor gear. Also on hand was Dave Lemieux of Broncolor / Amplis to answer technical questions.
Having worked extensively with our catalogue of Broncolor lighting, we knew Brendan would be the perfect guide for our lighting showcase. Brendan developed a varied shoot with two very different sets of talent: One, a classic old Hollywood-esque beauty, the other: Three butchers with personality rich faces that possessed a huge amount of character.
Using a mix of Broncolor lighting including the Para 88 & Para 220 reflectors Brendan was able to achieve some beautiful, dramatic, and extremely different results with each set of talent. For those of you who missed the event you can check out the video above, created by Christa LeCraw & Jeff Bell (for more of their work head to christalecraw.com & jeffbellphoto.ca) You can also check out the full selection of Brendan Meadow’s images from the night in the gallery below. We’ve listed the lights Brendan used for each shot for a little insight into how you can achieve the same results in your work. To see more of Brendan’s work head to: brendanmeadows.com/.
If you have any questions about our featured Broncolor gear, or would like to learn a little more call us at the shop, we’re happy to talk about it!
