I am a Californian home owner with two babies and a wife, thats been fighting with my mortgage lender to help me stay in my home. I purchased my home in 2005 at 379,000 now my home is worth 135,000. Every third home in my community is foreclosed. Brown yards and boarded home populate my little town, Perris California. I know several people, including my neighbor that has tried to get a loan modification and their lender does not what to assist. I've gone to HUD certified agents and still no help. Back in April 2008 I called my lenders to assist me but their answer was refi. How can I refi when my loan is upside down. I called loan agents and no such loan program. At the time my credit score was above 720. September came and time got hard. I would get two to three calls from the lenders to pay. Their solution is a repayment plan, that would get the missed payments and divided into the next 6 months. But I did not qualify, because I do not make enough. As for a loan modification, my second said they can help me reduce my payment by $30. $30 is not the reason why I can not pay my mortgage. Since then I spoken with my lender 30-40 time and always the same thing. Let go over our financial statements. Alway the same answer, Your are $900 short. Obama if you are reading this, your help in not helping in California. As of March 1, I am 90 day default on my loan, I have received a letter to foreclose. I have till June 11 to sell my home for $135,000, a loan amount I can afford. But hey would rather sell it and benefit from their lost. I have two babies-18 month baby girl Sophia and 4 month baby son Lucas. I have a small business, and stay home with the babies, while my wife goes to work. I've tried to get a part time job but day care is too costly. Please HELP CALIFORNIA WE NEED IT. Help me save my home. Thank you for your hard work. And God Bless.
