Ever wondered where your sushi really comes from? I got up super early and headed over to the Tsukiji Fish Market, the Tokyo morning ritual where all the daily catches are sold in an auction and then killed, sorted, filleted, and resold at thousands of stalls. There are hundreds of little carts driving around in every direction, it's quite a scene. Yes, I ate some of the freshest maguro sashimi I've ever had, and about a pound was 600 Yen (less than US$6.00).
I took photos too: flickr.com/photos/feldmania/2075503582/in/set-72157603298105821/
