Thanks for interviewing yet another classic MC. These videos always look spectacular. I have a question, are you using external sound to record, and if so, how are you recording it? Again, great job, I'm about to take the dSLR w/ video plunge and your videos were the inspiration. I can't afford the 5dMKII but Nikon d90 will be mine shortly.

Might also want to look into the new Panasonic GH1 which comes out in the US in June. Do a search on here to see some of its footage. Its out overseas already so there is quite a bit of sample footage online.

yo, this is good work as usual. special ed is one of my fav emcees from back in the day so it was glad to hear from him. funny i heard that rick ross/j legend joint today (bangin' beat, i havent listened to what rross is talking about and prolly won't...) but i was thinkin that it would be dope if that opened these young cats up to special ed. anyway, good stuff, are you really using a dslr to record these? it seems that way with the focus of the lens. i'mma have to step my game up= D5000

Nice D! His name always tripped me out when he first dropped...i remember him as the cat that was teaching me how to play chess in the 3rd grade! Always one of the smartest in the class. Can't wait to hear his new stuff. Good work D...oh and great photography!

When I heard Ed for the first time I was amazed.
'How could anyone rhyme like that?!'
Inspired, I got a copy of 'I Got It Made' on cassette and began the pause-rewind routine until it was memorized.
On repeat in my mind, recited along with friends or just mouthed silently in class, I studied the rhyme patterns and contemplated where I could find Alligator Souffle, weeks on end.

This seems like an extraordinary event to me.
But now as I think back, I remember that this was indeed a common frequent occurrence -- like Zev Love X, Lord Finesse, K-Solo, Kwame, Kane, Chuck D, G Rap, before.

Extraordinary only in the light of the situation today.

It's always good to see these guys get the shine they deserve.

Thank you D for filming Special Ed- my request. I really feel you have struck a chord with my generation of Hip Hop with this series. Special Ed's style fascinated me. His timing was ridiculous.

I can't help feeling a bit disappointed for him especially because I feel he could have left a bigger imprint in the rap "game" if he had done more music.

Who's next D. How about: Black Sheep, the Jungle Bros., Tribe Called Quest, Mr. Cheeks, Nice and Smooth. Whoever it is, I'll be waiting.
