The first family was formed in the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. And since the garden of Eden, the family has been in trouble. At one time our image of the word "family" consisted of a husband, wife, two and a half kids, a white picket fence and a faithful little dog. But for most people in our present culture, family doesn't look like that anymore.
We live in the age of blended, broken, and single-parent families and culture itself struggles with the meaning of the word. Instead of trying to figure out what the perfect family is supposed to look like, we want to help you, whatever your family might look like, whatever messy experiences you've been through, to find God's will and God's peace in your family.
We're going to spend six weeks, from Mother's Day to Father's Day, not talking about how to be the perfect family, but how to have Christ at the center of your "real" family.
