Growing red trees made with Flash Actionscript and put togheter with After Effects.
Some trigonometry and some scripting make creating growing trees quite easy.
I like AE and Flash! They permit me to do such stuff in just an afternoon.
Sorry for the low quality, it is just a demo...

1) created 4 different movies in Flash (4 growing trees)
2) put them in AE as 3D layers
3) used a camera in AE to film the scene
the key part is number 1, AE is used in a trivial way.
