Stripping a mouthbrooder using a piece of credit card.
I hold her underwater and put the piece of plastic in her mouth. Turn it sideways to pry open her mouth and the fry come swimming out.
Very easy.
I put the fry back in the tank with the female and she collected them all.

This was recorded in 1080i. Some clips were cropped to 50% and resized to 1280x720.

Scifish 2 years agoWhat's the purpose of stripping the female? Is it to do a head count of the fry?

Ed_209 2 years agoIf the female spits in the tank,the fry would probably get eaten. Some people strip the fry and put them in a grow out tank to raise.
